Description
Pyridoxine is the primary component of vitamin B6 and is involved in the metabolism and synthesis of a number of biological reactions. Pyridoxine is freely soluble in aqueous solution at 16.1 mg/mL.
Mechanism
Pyridoxine serves as a precursor of pyridoxal-phosphate (PLP), a coenzyme for amino acid and nucleic acid metabolism and neurotransmitter synthesis.
